Kevin Neelley Kevin has a great site, especially for beginning segmented woodturners. He has a wonderful gallery showing many of his beautiful pieces as well as extensive information about how to design and construct segmented works. He also has a software program for sale which helps calculate segment and angle sizes. Books Woodturning with Ray Allen: A Master's Designs & Techniques for Segmented Bowls & Vessels by Dale Nish A must have book for serious segmented woodturners. I often turn to this book for inspiration and design ideas. Videos Curt Theobald Curt has several videos for sale. The first gives a step-by-step process for building precise jigs for cutting and sanding segments. I used his method for building and setting up a sanding sled for my disc sander which continually gives me very accurate results. His second video covers the step-by-step process for building a segmented piece. |
